Make Jazz New
Jazz is not dead; but jazz will be dying if it only moves backward and indulges in its glorious history.
Jazz has to move forward and beyond the boundaries defining jazz as jazz. In this direction, the Hong Kong International Jazz Festival 2010 will stage more than 10 jazz groups from all corners of the world from 3 to 9 October 2010, including Rusconi (Swizterland), Electric Barbarian (Holland), Steinar Rakens Trio (Norway), Logic (Australia), etc.
While moving towards the European Jazz, we will not forget the American Jazz. The American guitar hero Stanley Jordan is also on our list.
Rusconi (Swizterland)
“These guys are the future of jazz. They are young. They have style…. It's a fresh new take on power jazz.”
