Be a Volunteer of the only Jazz Festival in Hong Kong!
The Hong Kong Jazz Association (HKJA) is a non-profit-making organization promoting Jazz music in Hong Kong. We rely on the dedication of volunteers who share with us a commitment to promoting jazz music in Hong Kong in holding the Hong Kong International Jazz Festival 2009 from 1 to 15 October 2009. We will be hosting concerts, talk and exhibition in inviting international jazz legends and rising jazz musicians to meet the local jazz community.
Volunteers are vital to our festival programmes. We are looking for about 30 volunteers in helping us over making the logistic arrangements, escorting the artists, etc.
• How to apply – Completed Application Forms (see below) should be submitted to hkjawm@hkja.org on or before 10 Sept 2009 (Thursday ).
• Eligibility – Volunteers must be Hong Kong permanent residents of 18 years of age or older to participate. Able to speak fluent English and Chinese. Interested in jazz music.
• Benefits – Volunteers get a behind-the-scenes look at the Festival’s operations while meeting jazz musicians, getting souvenirs (a Festival tee, a Festival programme & a CD) & a Festival Volunteer Certificate, and receiving training. Meals will be provided during on-duty period.
